New postings
Once again, I have had trouble keeping up with the blog - I get so caught up in the fact that I have to organize and update all the photos so I can use them in my posts. Then it inevitably starts piling up and it's a month later before I get to posting. So, going forward, I am going to try and post at least once a week, even if it's just text. I've found that trying to fill in the blanks from a few weeks back is tough...you forget what happened when and all those little things that you want to share escape your thoughts. Anyways, I don't want to wax poetic for now and will instead just let you catch up on lots of new posts :)
11 month update
Our little Ella is one short month away from being 1 year old. Her development in the past few weeks has been amazing. While still crawling, Ella has really taken a liking to walking on her own. She has been zooming around while holding onto things and taking one step here or two steps there, on her own. However, on Sunday, her 11 month birthday, Ella really stepped up her game - as demonstrated on the video below!! :) And since Sunday, she's walking on her own more and more. I don't even know what to say because I watch her in amazement. I am amazed that my baby is walking, I amazed that my baby is almost a year old, I amazed that my baby is simply amazing. I am sure every mother thinks that of her baby and now I understand why. To watch this little baby develop and learn is incredible. Ella is so curious, exploring everything and anything, you can almost see those wheels turning as she discovers the world around her. Though she is not talking yet, her sounds and baby babble have much more intonation than before and she obviously understands more than she is able to "say" back. From one day to the next, I can see little changes in Ella. From her teeth (which she now has 4 of!) that grow at rapid speed, to what she can reach, or just how she looks. I swear her hair is getting longer before my eyes and once again I'm going to have to go pajama shopping since she is getting too long for her footed pjs! Ella is establishing her place in the world and if she doesn't like something, she'll let you know with a little dinosaur scream. She is testing her limits at every turn and will give you a sly smile before doing something she's not supposed to before doing it anyway. It's hard to keep a straight face when she is just so damn cute but am learning the word NO should only be used for a real NO. Otherwise, Ella's attention can be quickly turned to something that can be a YES.
I can't tell you how many people have said / say "enjoy every moment because it goes so fast." The truth is that it all goes by even faster...

My birthday weekend
Night night time
Ella loves shower time. She typically goes to bed between 7 and 8pm. I love our night time routine.
There is nothing better than sweet cuddle time with my baby girl.
