This morning I had a dream that I was at the docs office and she sat my patient file down and I saw a piece of paper that had a bunch of measurements on it and said "Boy." I wasn't sure I should tell Jim but then I did and we decided to confirm and sure enough, I was going to have a boy. Of course it was just a dream but we'll see how good my "maternal instincts" are!At 22 weeks, our baby is the size of a spaghetti squash - about a pound and 11 inches long. Amongst other things, baby's fingernails are now fully formed and baby will be ready for its first nail trim upon birth!!
I am feeling baby move, not consistently, but it's so cool. It's such a strange sensation but makes me all giddy inside :) Since baby can hear now, Jim and I talk to baby so s/he can get to know our voices...and you know, just to start preparing baby for the outside world with us.

What do the movements feel like? Can you describe them at all. I can't wait to feel the baby.
well, at first it was flutter like movements - and i wasn't sure those were really movements because they were so rare but knowing where the baby is positioned (after my last ultrasound) then i am now convinced that's what i was feeling. now, it's like something moving under your skin - it doesn't hurt and it's very random but usually in the same areas - for me its all on my right side. you know how sometimes you have a gas bubble that you can feel move through your insides, its kinda like that right now. i imagine that as baby gets bigger of course the movements will be even more evident. just like hearing that heartbeat, its so reassuring to feel the movement.
That is so exciting!! I've heard that moms have very vivid dreams during pregnancy, I can't wait to hear more...and see you in person!! Jon and I are so excited for you guys!!
it's true - the dreams are crazy vivid!
